Located within the core scenic area of the Nanjing Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, a national 5A-level natural scenic area, the Zhongshan District covers an area of 64,818.62 square meters with a building area of 24,450.93 square meters. It primarily undertakes tasks related to physical examinations for officials, health maintenance, and rehabilitation treatment, providing high-quality medical services to the public.
Since its establishment, Zhongshan District has focused on creating a high-level Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Center for Geriatrics, aligning with the main hospital's standardized and integrated management requirements. Leveraging the main hospital’s strong resources in talent, equipment, and medical technology, the district aims to meet the health needs of the elderly and promote healthy aging. It adheres to a TCM-centered approach, integrating TCM with Western medicine, focusing on chronic diseases in the elderly and TCM's strengths. The hospital emphasizes preventive care through TCM, treatment of common geriatric conditions, and multidisciplinary collaborative treatment. It promotes TCM specialties such as consultations from renowned TCM masters, health maintenance through decoctions, acupuncture, and massage therapy, and provides health check-ups, health consultation guidance, health education, and various interventions for health risk factors using both TCM and Western medicine. The goal is to develop a "large specialty, new comprehensive" model for a tertiary-level TCM hospital branch, creating a high-level TCM Geriatrics Center that integrates medical care, nursing, and health maintenance.
The district is equipped with advanced diagnostic equipment, including a Siemens 64-slice CT, fully automated biochemical analyzers, fully automated immunoluminescence analyzers, digital X-ray systems, color Doppler ultrasound diagnostic systems, TCM constitution identification devices, dynamic ECG and blood pressure monitoring, dental chairs, mammography machines, arterial stiffness testing devices, and transcranial Doppler systems. It also features a range of advanced rehabilitation medical equipment, such as the Pavel rehabilitation training system, MOTOmed active-passive rehabilitation training system, intelligent biofeedback training system for pelvic floor muscles, FlexTable digital occupational therapy assessment and training system, standing evaluation and training system for paralysis, xenon light therapy, interferential current therapy, and transcranial electrical stimulation, as well as electric standing beds. The district will also introduce MRI, mobile health examination vehicles, and mobile CT services. Furthermore, it fully integrates and utilizes medical resources from the main hospital and Zdong District, adhering to ISO 15189 quality standards for testing, and utilizes information technology to conduct examinations such as PET-CT, MRI, and gastrointestinal endoscopy, providing comprehensive, precise, and convenient medical services.
The journey may be long and arduous, but progress is attainable; if we persist, the future is promising. Zhongshan District will earnestly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important directives regarding TCM and the work related to elderly officials. It will adhere to a "dual high" strategy of building a high-level hospital and achieving high-quality development, further inherit the essence of TCM, maintain integrity while innovating, and enhance the level of geriatric medical research and health maintenance services for officials. The aim is to provide specialized, refined, and humane high-quality services and play a positive role in building a "strong province in TCM."
Zhongshan District is adjacent to the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum and the Meiling Palace, surrounded by lush pines and cypress trees throughout the seasons, with a variety of seasonal flowers adding to its beauty. It offers over 200 rooms, including standard rooms, single rooms, and suites, with 300 beds available. The facility is equipped with a multimedia conference hall, reading room, gym, ball game room, chess and card room, and spa, providing multifunctional services to the community.
Specialty, quality, and service are our unwavering principles, while "people-oriented" is our consistent goal. With picturesque scenery and rich cultural heritage, we look forward to welcoming you at the beautiful foot of Zhongshan Mountain!
